New Company- Kids All Inclusive Themed Parties

Posted by sktbik on 125 Points
hi,
kids party planner.
i have done a lot of research into this area.
i am in socal, where there are a LOT of these businesses w/ many quite upscale. i do not plan to compete in the higher end market but geared toward working middle class folks who still want a great party for their kids!

I want my small kid party business to begin small with the possibility to become as big as i want it to be-but always kids.

i want my name to reflect what i am about-all inclusive kid themed parties. The themes to choose from are limited to science, art, bugs, tea parties.
i want the tagline to be catchy and fun.

I’m thinking of company names:
1-PARTYhands, kid themed party fun by XXX
2-simply KIDS parties by xxx
3-simplyFUN parties by xxx.

No idea about taglines!
But I would put this on my website/flyer/brochure::
--kid friendly HANDS ON PARTY FUN!! Done with a Parent Friendly Budget in mind!
Let XXX take the work out of your Childs Party, so YOU can Relax & Enjoy!

any help at all ???
thank you in advance :)

    btw~
yes i do have a business plan :)
even though i am starting out small, i think it is important to have everything well thought out and written, even if only for myself to state my company objectives and goals...

i actually already have 2 lined up parties, and i think in this business especially- word of mouth- is all important. i got these bookings because of word of mouth.

i am hoping to have my name, logo, etc in place, for business cards etc to be made up so that i am able to have available at the future parties.

    thanks again.

    thanks again

I've found it's best to start with a great business name, then develop the tagline afterwards.

As far as your name, what region will you be serving? Are middle class folks regularly hiring companies for kids parties in your region? If so, what would make your company different from the rest? Why should parents entrust their kids & budget to you? If you've already done some parties, what do parents (and kids) say about the parties you've done, and how it was working with you?

You need to make it simple and say what you do. If your parties are interactive (that word would take the hands on parties out of the picture for the 1 in a million people that think it is Sandusky-esque) and it better describes the type of party you create. So consider the word interactive or something like that when you describe your services.

I have a client that provides various apparel items kids can color themselves. You might what to check it out. They are great for parties where kids get to do crafts. www.colortime.com.

    thanks everyone,
i appreciate the feedback, and thanks for the support with what i am getting right :)

to clarify the "hands on" idea--- i mean YES the parties i have done are all very interactive with for example- the science party i will offer to begin with- the kids did all the experiments with own hands, not just sit watch a "show" as another (very successful lol) company does. so by hands on i mean interactive, yikes! sandusky was furthest thing from my mind! i'm sorta grossed out thinking anyone would ever even think that but now it brought up--- i admit i am leery when i see certain ppl involved with kids. i guess it is human nature esp w/ so much of it in news.

ok, so also, region, i am in socal. huge amt of these party companies. yes regular joes willing to pay also, they generally don't feel they can afford them though- so i want to reach these ppl and let them know it is possible. it won't be fancy shmancy but it will still be fun coordinated and nice. very kid friendly.

all inclusive meant simply, if i'm doing the science- i will bring all science supplies, and actually do all the science stuff with the kids- i won't actually be going from child to child except to maybe drop food coloring into an experiment...otherwise i will be at and behind my table discussing/doing etc.
    * i will also provide invites & thankUs, provide related art/craft table supplies, and bring all for candybar incl fun labels/table decore etc. (unless parents don't want)-- i won't supply cake/ice cream. i won't supply food- but will offer kid friendly fare ideas. i won't supply tables or other house decore--- unless they ask and then price will be set accordingly.

ok does that clear it all up?
    any more ideas??
i think so far i am finding the names too boring or genetic. i am not a boring/generic gal.
*my name is CAT. if that helps at all.....
re- partyhands. that's a company in uk lol i googled.
also i think a new popular heavy metal or rap? hit song ahhaaaa also discovered via google.
