Newsletter Title For A Not So Boring Accountant

Posted by soaresbl on 25 Points
I would like a clever name for an email newsletter that I am working on. I want this newsletter to give audit friendly tips to clients on a monthly basis and keep them updated with changes in tax legislation. But I do not want to sound like a stuffy accountant. Any suggestions?

Firstly it is great that you are starting up a newsletter by email*.

Bucking the trend with interesting thoughts is the way to go. It won't be easy. My suggestion will follow something I know. The job of an accountant isn't about money.

    What??

It isn't about money: it is about people. The people who make that money. Focus on them and you have something that will interest them. Then you start adding a few thoughts as to how these people use their money and how the tax legislation is going to affect them - almost as an afterthought. The point is that you are interesting and relevant. You will keep your readers that way. This is the core thinking behind the 80-20 principle by the way (intro. PDF to follow once my new autoresponder series/campaign is up).

My suggestion for your title. "Small Change, Big Change"

Change here as in what you get after you have paid for something and the changes in the legislation too ;-)

BTW my attitude to taxes is if I get a tax bill, I earn a little more money and pay for it that way. I don't interest myself in nibbling every last cent of my bill. Rounding it off nicely does very well - again, 80-20 thinking.
