Lead Management

Posted by mark on 125 Points
We are looking to implement a lead strategy using salesforce.com and we are trying to determine the best way to separate leads from our existing customer database. We want to automate this process. As leads come through our web site they are automatically scrubbed with our customer database using certain indicators (e.g. name, email address, phone number) and "flagged". Is their a best practice, software or other solution that will do this for us? Have you used this before and what advice can you offer?

Have you looked at marketing automation software? My company is currently in the process of choosing a system and have narrowed it down to HubSpot and ActOn. Would love to hear others' experience with this type of lead management/automation software.
