Whitepaper/casestudies For Intranet/sharepoint

Hi,

Our company is currently migrating its existing Internal portal Intranet from Dot net nuke platform to Microsoft Share point. Is there a White paper or case study available on the possible elements to be considered and what are the type of contents to be available on a Sharepoint portal considering its a global Telecom company and the contents should be easily accessible to all as a repository for download at a click of a button so employees can provide content meant for customers as document or a link

    I checked the link, it gives more of technical details of what are the factors to be considered when migrating to microsoft sharepoint. What we are looking at is what are the contents that need to be available on a sharepoint is there a case study available or whitepaper with statistics that has been proven that people visit an intranet portal the maximum number of times to look for these related topics. Just like we have Google & one would go to google search engine to look for an information. So is there any study or research available that has gone into making an ideal intranet portal with great look and feel and great marketing content with all information and social media plugin under one roof
