Cosmetic Line-nail Polish, Lip Gloss, Mascara, Etc

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
I am looking for a branding name for a cosmetics line I am starting. The line will debut with a full line of nail polishes including nail treatments, nail oils, and non-acetone nail polisher remover. The cosmetic line will eventually carry other items such as Lip Gloss, Mascara, Lip & Eye Liners, Eyebrow Enhancers as well as a natural line of face care products(makeup removers, cleansers, facial scrubs, moisturizers, etc). The target persons will be women off all ages who use personal beautification as a way to sooth the soul and feel good about themselves. All items will be made in the USA but initially distributed to The Bahamas (home country). Products will be sold both in stores & online (mainly in store). If you look good, you feel good. If you feel good you do good. *** I was thinking of ways to incorporate Star in the brand. If not then fine.

Many cosmetic lines use personal names or variations (Chanel, Mayballine) or abstract names (Revlon, L'Oreal, Clairol) that derive from or look like they derive from personal names, that don't describe the product they try to sell, but are used to develop a cachet and mood around the brand. These types of brand are expensive to develop, but difficult to dislodge, so a functional based name may not be the best answer here - some personal connected with you?

    Nassau Cosmetics

    Lucyanne Cosmetics

    Flamenca

    Carmastar

    Astrella

wow thanks everyone!!! Seeing that i want to eventually branch into skin care do you think its a good idea to have a brand name then a collection name for the cosmetics, nail polishes? EG. Astrella Cosmetics Candystore Collection consisting of lip gloss, nail polish, etc. Then move on to the bigger stuff..... Shining Star Face Care products by Astrella Cosmetics.

I'd get started, and sort out any details later!! More to the point is what your customers like - after all, they're buying. I don't make decisions like that without the data that my customers give me (or the customers of the business I'm representing).
