It all depends on what you want to do. If you have a job already, you could use your spare time to learn how to do paid online advertising (Google being the better platform by several leagues). This will cost you a thousand dollars - an MBA will cost you ten times that. Plus the advantage of learning Google is that few know how to use it properly and if you're looking for work, you can find it more easily - or just set up as a consultant.

I am already working as a communication coordinator and i have an experience of over 8 years in this field, I have a BA degree in English education but I am hesitated what to study as a Master degree, is it to continue my Master in my related field of study which is English language or to diversify and study MBA. actually am not good in accounting and i hate this subject but lots of my colleges told me that i cannot climb the career ladder without getting an MBA degree. i like subjects related to humanities like communication or English.....etc am really cannot find answer to my questions up to know am in my 40s but want to improve in my work

Good morning and thankyou for responding so quickly!

Let's put this the other way around - a gentleman of my acquaintance runs a PPC agency. That is to say, Google advertising. He does it extremely well, and can beat any metric you choose, in fact he guarantees it. Whilst independent, without any career structure, pension or other benefits of that kind, he charges around $1500 an hour with consultations at around twice that.

I'm not saying that you'd be able to, but the problem is one of being able to think outside the box (as it were). This will take years of practice, years of getting things wrong - but it will be affordable. You'll also be able to do it when and where you like, at your leisure. Of course, the biggest hurdle is working out why things aren't going right, which seems a never-ending process (I've been through this, as you can tell!). The other side is that there's nobody telling you to get it sorted for Friday! It means you can just put it down and think "it didn't work for me" ... which is why there are so few really good PPC consultants out there. Most of them just play the algorithm and get 2-3% click through rates - the industry standard. Thinking outside the box means a 4% click through rate is unacceptably low.

The choice is yours, and to be honest, it's something you could do along with your studies should you choose that route. I will warn you, pay per click advertising can be seriously addictive.

How much debt are you comfortable taking on?

If you are not comfortable with accounting and heavy-duty analytics, you will probably find an MBA a waste of your time -- and some real torture. Why do that to yourself?

You would spend a lot of time, money and emotional energy just to prepare yourself for a career that would make you miserable.

Do what you love and what gives you the personal satisfaction of enjoying your career.
