Budgeted Marketing Automation For A One Man Show

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
Hi, I have a situation as a newbie one man marketing professional that designs, publishes and sells products.

Most of the businesses I work with are start-ups and I'm looking for a way to ease my marketing efforts by having some Godly thing that can retrieve emails centrally but identify per company/client, send out email campaigns, assist in content delivery to social media sites and have a one to one with customers/clients in real-time, especially via mobile. All budgeted per year.

I'm I asking for too much? :-)

I'm too one man show in marketing at my company. I carried a lot research about these softwares. What I realised is that if your firm doesn't have enough budget then none of them is useful to you. None of them have good free packages that can fulfil your need. Going for very cheap softwares will result in other side effects. The best solution over this is using set of tools, software each serving different purpose. If your company has enough budget then you can go for 'Act-on'. It's for SMEs. It has good quality also. Otherwise, use email marketing software that allows you to trigger emails, use free account of hootsuite to manager your social media.. There are many softwares available there. Make list of activities you have to carry on daily basis. Find few useful and manage them. My search is still going on for single tool that allows me to do all and that too at very low cost. If you find such tool, please let me know. My email id is [Email address deleted by staff; this info should be in the Profile].
    Thanks & Regards,

There was another recent string posted here about 1-2 weeks ago also around the same topic evaluating marketing software and looking at the costs. Please consult it to avoid re-posting the same info twice. View recently closed questions.

I agree that it is less expensive and more efficient to use multiple simple tools for sales and marketing.

By the way, you can use Google to search for previous questions on this forum. For example, you might try a Google search on the following:
    software site:www.marketigprofs.com/ea
you can also use Google to restrict the search to recent postings, e.g. within the last month or within the last year.

Being frustrated as you are: I found that establishing naming conventions is very important in working with multiple files and programs. I have become very strict in how I get things like dates and names of projects and company names and people names. This makes it a bit easier when strategic information spread across multiple programs.
