Tagline For Counseling Center

Posted by chadmbanks on 250 Points
I'm volunteering with a local counseling center that offers all types of wellness programs from drug and alcohol addiction to parenting, traditional counseling, etc. They're looking for a new tagline that's uplifting helps reinforce their brand. They're very well known in our community but are seeking to update their marketing efforts with a contemporary logo and new marketing materials as well. Any thoughts on a tagline?

Who is the target audience? What's the name of the counseling center? What's the current tagline? What geographic area does it serve? What do you want the tagline to communicate about the organization?

We can definitely develop a great tagline, but first we need answers to the questions above.

You might also start to think about what criteria you will use to evaluate our suggestions and pick a winner. If we know the criteria in advance, there's a much better chance we'll deliver for you right away.

It's called Southwest Counseling Service and serves Southwest Wyoming. I think the idea is communicate health and wellness and that things CAN get better, etc. Because of our community's size and the market (roughly just 50,000) the target market is very broad - basically everyone in the community. The agency is also funded in part by tax payers. Currently, they don't have a tagline.

With respect, it's doubtful that the target market is everyone in the community: the target market is people from all walks of life and from all age and social backgrounds who are in crisis; it's people in need of change and support; it's people on the edge of fear.

I've been one of these people and until you've walked in these shoes I'm afraid it's NOT everyone your need to serve. The kind of tag line that's needed here is one that says, in effect, when there is no-one else to turn to, turn to us.
