Posted by Aaira on 250 Points
Starting a preschool in Singapore. Looking to:

1. Gather database of interested parents

Want to use some FB/Social media strategy.

Not sure what to do to make this effective. Contests/Awards/or zillion others. Create content or make users create through photos etc.

Something doable.. and cost effective..

Why not use Pay Per Click, such as Google Adwords - for people searching for preschools in your region? This would then work in conjunction with your website & specific landing pages that match your keywords and have contact forms for people to sign up for information, tours, free open houses, etc.

What do you mean by "FB/Social media strategy"? Posts? Sponsored content?

    1. FB/Social Media refers to Facebook, because some of the residents condominiums have a FB presence. Flyers etc are not effective.
    2. We are looking to target the resident's through Facebook through a teaser campaign.
    3. Were not sure what strategy to use on Facebook.
    4. We want to focus on pre selling the seats either thru FB and/or crowd funding sites
    5. FB/Sponsored Content/Posts refers to various ways to use FB.
    6. Because we are looking to presell, open house etc will work only after licenses etc are granted. We want to get to at least Break Even before that.. That effectively means raising interest without divulging the school name but sharing the location..

    Hope this helps

In theory you should be sitting down with your team and deciding your pre-school's positioning, marketing strategy etc....but it seems like no one near you has the expertise...so I guess I'll just talk about a tactic.

In Hong Kong, bloggers are a huge thing (especially mommy bloggers). Many of them are willing to accept payment to promote a product or service. I would imagine Singapore would have the same thing. Go online and look for mommy bloggers that have a huge following. This is your best bet for gathering emails I think. Moms are very trusting of bloggers for the most part and they go there to gather more information about parenting anyway.
