Mall Opening Event

Hello there

I have been assigned to propose a launching event for a mall which includes a hyper market, few restaurants / coffee shops, boutiques etc. On the inaugral day, I need to plan events for attracting mass to the grand opening. Any ideas?

    A music concert.
    A dance contest.
    A children-only event.
    Money give-away (to a lucky patron that day).

    Key is to offer something for all the family to get whole families in.

    Golf for dad or indycar simulator, cooking demos / hands on cooking for moms , petting zoo forbthe young kids, skate board area for the teens etc. Etc.

    Going to the mall gas to be an experience.

    Don't just do it for the launch, do it every day.

    Thanks all... As mentioned earlier, the mall has a hyper market which includes electronics, dress, apparels, food and consumables + other outlets including jewellery, boutique, fast food etc. Thanks for the suggestions. The local RJ and live is interesting.

    Few suggestions are tried and tested in other launches and so looking for more innovative ideas if any one has.
