Name For My Blog

Posted by bodybybetty on 125 Points
Hi Guys,

I'm going to start a blog but I'm really stuck on what to name it.

I will be posting weekly, on topics about positive self-talk, self-motivation, self-confidence (brain training, positive mental attitude, accountability), nourishing your body (food & fitness), looking good inside and out, and being the best version you can possibly be.

To give you a little more info, I'm training in NLP and plan on offering coaching services to females over 30 who've had kids and are unhappy with their body image/confidence, have yo-yo dieted their adult life and want to make permanent change for the better.

An excerpt from my first post:

"I want to inspire you to take your life back and start being in control again, be the person you want to be, dream big, take action and get the results you deserve.

"If you do not conquer self, you will be conquered by self" Napoleon Hill

====================

I would really appreciate some feedback on some of the ideas I've came up with so far (your fav one and least fav one) plus any more suggestions :)

Thanks in advance, Lisa

Most of the names on your list deal with "mind," "self-confidence" and "motivation." What your target audience wants is to lose weight -- and perhaps to keep it off (though they already know they won't). I'd pick a name for your blog that promises what they want -- weight loss.

    "Lose weight forever"
    "See yourself thin"
    "The ultimate weight-loss secret"
    "Fitness forever"
    Etc.

Don't confuse the benefit with the methodology. People buy benefits, not tools or recipes.

    Lisa --

If you want to attract people to your blog, then choose a name that will help you with search engines and be memorable for those who do find you. In this regard, Healthy Habit Hacks is the strongest of your idea, and fortunately that dot-com name is available at this writing. I'd suggest you go get it before it disappears.

If you don't care about attracting people to your blog from search engines, then give it a name that will resonate with your clients -- their interests, their needs, such as How to Make Progress (howtomakeprogress.com). Or, if you plan to incorporate a sense of fun into what you do, you might try a light-hearted name such as Change a Little (changealittle.com).

Try to avoid anything named "daily" because it won't be long before you become a slave to it; and try to avoid any other name that doesn't have a dot-com domain available. (The three domains mentioned above are all available at this writing.)

    Good luck!
