How is your marketing Department structured. Do you have any tips on how to start breaking down process flow and departmental needs. We are a out growing our current model and are also extremely disjointed in our communication efforts as well as processes.

We need more information. What industry? B2B, B2C, other? What distribution channel(s)? Multiple brands or single brand? Where are the customers? Responsible for strategy or just implementation? Work with outside agencies or is everything in-house? How many currently in the Marketing Department?

The process begins with the end-user/consumer and flows upstream through the distribution system. It's important to understand the Marketing Department's goal and the metrics that are used to determine success (or failure).

You may need specific outside consulting for this, as it doesn't sound like there's an easy answer. It's best if you have someone provide an objective assessment and recommendation based on an in-depth study of your needs and capabilities. Where are you located?

Many different structures can work, and there is no one marketing structure that works for all. Adding to what Mgoodman asked, it would also be good to know how you are currently structured and how this structures woks well for you and doesn't work well for you.

when considering marketing and sales functions, I often find it helpful to compare business functions with agricultural functions. In agriculture, we select fields, we select and improved plants, we plow, then plant, then nurture and cultivate, inspect, reap, store, and eventually distribute the fruits. Each of these activities most likely has a parallel in your situation.

I'd be happy to spend the three hour on the phone to discuss this further if you like. Feel free to send me an e-mail. Good luck.

I would say divide the activities it on Online and Offline categories and could take it forward from their( suggested with the minimal brief given by you).

I agree with mgoodman. We need details to figure it out.
