Experiential Marketing Ideas?

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
Hi everyone,

We're exhibiting at CES this year, and tradeshows are a new thing for me as most of my experience has been in digital thus far.

An overview of my company...we're a startup backed by an experienced founder/company focusing on wearables and telehealth (think a more sophisticated version of fitbit/jawbone for an older generation).

Now my boss has indicated that the sole purpose of us going would be to get the brand out there (vs sales), which I agree with.

Now, I've heard and read about experiential marketing and am very interested in implementing it in our booth. We only have a 10 x 10 as we didn't book in time for a larger one...

Would appreciate any ideas from those more experienced. We definitely don't have a Samsung budget, but do have some budget to spend on equipment (eg. LCD Screens)

Basically, I want to make our booth unique and exciting. Don't want to be another company handing out pens and notepads. I already have some ideas for having a live social media feed etc, but that's pretty standard these days it seems.

Thanks a lot, and looking forward to hearing some interesting ideas from you guys.

Unique/exciting is based on your audience. Imagine your booth is surrounded by other health/fitness ebusinesses. Why should someone care about your offering? What distinguishes it in the marketplace? Why should a press team or buyer stop to talk with you? Do you have some amazing sales or actual stories (not scenarios) to share? Once you "get" what people are looking for, then you have something to aim for in your marketing.
