Need Name For Private Care Veterans Home

Posted by sewatseams custom tailor on 500 Points
Hi, Everyone,

I'm reaching out for your expertise once again. I own and occupy a two family home. My plan is to use the three bedroom apartment as a home for veterans.

This home for veterans will provide a safe and comfortable, furnished room, board, limited personal care and supervision to veterans who do not require hospital or nursing home care but not able to live independently because of medical or psychiatric conditions and has no place to call home.

A friend and local veteran who lives in a large home
for veterans asked if I would consider the upper half of my home into a place for vets, but more on a private scale.

I mentioned the possibility to another veteran and several people who thinks it a great idea and now so do I. This is where I need your help in coming up with a name for a veterans home.

I think I will use " A Place To Call Home as the
tagline.

Any help with a name for the home, would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Patricia

    What a nice idea!

I don't have any brilliant thoughts right now for the name, but I would observe two things about the question:

First, coming up with the tagline before you have a name suggests that the name probably isn't terribly important. You're going to let the tagline communicate your message.

Second, you are not clear about who the target audience (for the name) is, or what you are trying to communicate to them. Is it the veterans who will live in the home, the community, possible donors/supporters, other?

Myself, I think "[TownName] Heroes Home," as suggested by Jay would do the job (whatever that job is), and it wouldn't need a tagline that repeats the word "home."

As an aside, why DO you want a name (and a tagline) for the home? Why not just provide the shelter for needy vets without a highly-visible public presence? Am I missing something? What is the marketing challenge you are trying to address?

For your tag line i'd do more focused around what you provide like:
-Providing a safe, affordable lifestyle for veterans with special needs.
-Private Care and Housing for Veterans

You should also check TESS to make sure whatever name you choose isn't already a registered trademark. (just google "Tess trademark database" and the link will come up)
