Needs Ideas To Promote Deer Hunting Land For Sale

Posted by Anonymous on 800 Points
Here is a question for especially you hunters and outdoorsman. We have a client who has a farm for sale located in a remote area of Western Wisconsin. They are looking to sell the property without a realtor if possible.

Our company created a website for them located at https://www.whitetailpropertyforsale.com/. In addition to organic search, we are also doing some paid search to drive traffic.

As the weather warms up we are looking to get more aggressive with marketing the property. We are looking at some ideas for direct mail, print, and digital marketing / social media.

Looking for any ideas of where we might get visibility for this property within a reasonable budget.

Perhaps a slight pivot from hunters club to gentlemen's club will widen you potential purchaser universe.
Take advantage of the structures to expand your buyers horizon; that will include females

    Gentlemen's Lodge - Hunting Allowed
Gentlemen's Club - All Seasons Recreation

    All Seasons Hideaway

Just don't limit the eyeballs that may be looking

I would think a very inexpensive, yet efficient, route for you would be to target (no pun intended) hunters via the places they frequent and have pre-printed flyers advertising the property with the website and phone number on them.

The flyers should show a picture of the property (and deer!) and include the relevant information (like an MLS listing would), and the contact info. For places that won’t accept flyers but have a bulletin board - post a single flyer with tear-off tabs saying “Deer hunting property for sale (+ the website and phone #).

For example – distribute them / post them at:

    - Outdoors/hunting/fishing, gun, archery and knife shows

    - Retailers specializing in any of the above activities

    - Local hunting organizations or clubs, within a reasonable driving distance, in Minneapolis/Wisconsin (and contact them and see if they’ll promote it to their members)

    - Hunting lodges

    - Taxidermists

    - Butcher shops and tanneries

While you’re at it, take advantage of other relatively cheap or free venues, even if they aren’t quite as targeted – i.e., Craigslist and posting the info at local hardware stores, fishing/bait/feed shops, lumberyards, sports bars, boat clubs, etc. Also, look for online social and other sites (from FaceBook to blogs), for all of the same activities/interests above and post messages as able.

    Best of luck!

Would the property be suitable for another hunting club to purchase it to expand their hunting fields?
Could you sell raffle tickets for its purchase (selling 1500 tickets @ $1000/each, for example)?
Have you reached out to gun clubs in the region?
