It depends on the industry, the target audience, the objective and the executive's comfort level. Who and where is the primary target audience? What's the objective?

Thanks. The industry is education, the target audience is anyone interested in public education in NJ, particularly education officials and media covering education news. The objective is to improve his visibility and create more transparency by having the head of the organization tweet and respond to education issues.

To create the greatest traction and to connect with the most influential people in NJ education, media, and policy making (and in related areas with national visibility) this person needs to be on LinkedIn, rather than on Twitter.
