Sponsorship Required For Upcoming Artists Gig

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
I am part of a student project setting up the end of Year University of Westminster show featuring upcoming London artists Loredo, The Collier, Forensics, The Night VI and more.
We are looking for £500 to cover kit hire at the venue, the gig is on May 7th at Cargo London. We had sponsorship in place however it has fallen through- hence the lateness of sponsorship request. We will heavily promote your business along with our event promotion, if you can help us out please let me know beneath or if you have advice on where I should be looking please comment!

Crowd-funding sites such as Kickstarter may be a good place to start.

Do you have a compelling enough "reason why" to use as a hook?

Or, you may want to consider a hike in ticket prices to cover this cost. Perhaps £1 per ticket.

Offering to heavily promote a business is a kind thing to do. You may want to connect with local London-based businesses, to offer them potential foot traffic.

If you offer a local independent food vendor exclusive selling options on the night (pizza, burgers, vegetarian options, and so on), you can offer them exclusive status in exchange for their sponsorship. They'll make their five hundred quid back in about an hour.

There is nothing like a starving crowd to generate sales.

Contact the bands' fan clubs. Can you offer them backstage access for a donation?
Can you offer VIP meet-and-greet tickets for a premium price?
Can you sell raffle for a private reception before (or after) the show?
