Need Help For Website/portal Name

Posted by agatamichalikstaniszewska on 500 Points
I need help in inventing names for the website associated with cosmetics. On the side I want:
-post reviews of cosmetics,
-information about new cosmetic,
-show up cosmetics, how they appear on the face, nails, etc.
-to show cheaper counterparts expensive cosmetics

I was inspired by this website: www.temptalia.com

Generally speaking, I want to create a base of photos and reviews beauty products available in my country (Poland). So far, I came up with the name 'Amaze Me', but honestly it is not a name that satisfies me. I wish that the name is not too common, as lovebeauty, lovecosmetics etc. Maybe the name could be a female, sounding like the name?

Thank you in advance for your help

Are you looking for an available URL for the website/portal? If so, are you limiting yourself to .com or would other domains be acceptable? For example: am.pl, dim.pl, may.pl, rip.pl, sim.pl, or sup.pl?

I forgot to mention the most important thing, sorry. Of course, I am looking for an available URL for the website/portal. Ideally, it was com. but it is also very well : .pl (for example www.amazeme.pl).

The combination of words of English and Polish is very bad - unfortunately. The name that sounds like the name of the female is just a loose suggestion

Polish-Beauties.com and PolishBeautySecrets.com are both available.

I indicated that I do not seek common names such as: beauty, cosmetics. I'm looking for something non-obvious. I wanted more of a short name, easy to remember and catchy. For me www.temptalia.com it sounds like the name . I'm looking for something in a similar style.

Yes, something like that. But I still miss "that something".

"I do not seek common names such as: beauty, cosmetics. I'm looking for something non-obvious.

    This is a HUGE mistake.

Whether this is your site or not, YOU are not your customer, what you want, like, or find appealing is not the point. Few of your potential clients are looking for a solution that's non-obvious. They're looking for cosmetics. Similarly, a name that's "catchy" does you no good at all. If a client came to you and asked for something to make them more beautiful or prettier, your reaction might be one of bewilderment. The desire for a "catchy" name does the same thing.

    Define "catchy". What is beauty?

Inventing a name, one that that works across cultures and languages, is time consuming and costly.
With the best will in the world, without dozens, perhaps hundreds of hours of conversation, research, insight, and investigation into your company, your reasons for being in business, and your ideal customer's preferred outcome, creating a brand name on a forum like this isn't going to give you the lasting result you're looking for.
