Collaborating With A Celebrity Fitness Trainer

Posted by JobOpp1_2_3 on 25 Points
Hello,

I am a Registered Nurse and my target market is women of reproductive age. I'd like to bring light to a condition that many women have but are too afraid to tackle due to it being resistant to many known treatments .

I've been working on a project for a few years now whose success will be based on a good marketing strategy such as what the particular fitness trainer already has. In the process, I've figured out a pertinent link in relation to a celebrity fitness trainer's workout videos that could further increase its success.

I would like to know of any imperative tips in sending a proposal letter to the fitness trainer's agent for a possible endorsement? What layout should be used for the proposal? Should i be sending this proposal to the agent or one of the team members?
What information should be included in the proposal?

Thank you!

Is your goal to make money or to educate the general population? In either case, how can you prove to the trainer that what you offer is scientifically tested/safe (since you're wanting them to lend their credibility)? Are you hoping that lending their name to your marketing will help your cause, or are you hoping that they'll help to spread the word about your mission? If the latter, have you researched if anyone in the trainer's family may be affected by this condition (or someone that's close to them)?

If you connect with this trainer through social media you'll cut out the gatekeepers.

The most important thing would be to communicate the benefit for the celebrity trainer. Why should he or she be interested? If you get that right the rest should be relatively easy.

In response to Jay Hamilton-Roth, my goal is for both but my priority is to educate the public as it's a condition that many doctors have failed to look further into due to it being so complex. I'm hoping that lending their name to my marketing would help the cause as well as aid in spreading the word. I've done research on the celebrity trainer and his workout video for some time now but I've not come across anything stating that anyone close may have the condition.

In response to Gary Bloomer, I've thought about connecting with him through his social media page but I've had second thoughts as I'm concerned of the fact that he could easily turn my idea down and then use it himself.

In response to mgoodman, How do I communicate the benefit for the celebrity trainer without giving away my idea? I mean, it's a very simple connection. He just hasn't put it together as yet.

A scarcity mindset won't get you anywhere.

I think you are saying that all you really have is an idea. If that's the case, it's probably not worth much. The value will be in monetizing it. So if you don't disclose the idea for fear that someone will just use the idea, then you will have to add some value -- like marketing -- before you approach the celebrity trainer. Do you have a marketing plan? Are you prepared to invest in the marketing?

In response to mgoodman: It's more of a discovery than an idea. It's basically a link I discovered during my years of trial and error with this condition. One may even call it a breakthrough. It took me years as I wanted to focus on natural solutions. About a few months ago, Dr. Oz had a young woman on his show with the condition but I could tell he didn't really know how to help her as all he said to her was, "Good luck" in her journey. My marketing plan was to have the celebrity trainer help spread the word/mission and yes I'm prepared to invest in the marketing.
