Dissertation Topics For Shock Advertising

Posted by minalot on 125 Points
I am currently awaiting to start my final year in business management and need to choose a topic for my dissertation. I have a great interest in 'shock advertising' and its impact on consumers. My dilemma is to choose a question that can explore this topic.

Pick a specific ad, company, market and explore whether the advertising appears to have had a positive impact for the advertiser. There's no need to try to generalize and deal with shock advertising everywhere for every product in every industry. Keep it focused.

FYI- Assuming you DO have great interest in shock advertising... Dilemma doesn't mean what you seem to think it means.

Isn't a dilemma is a situation that requires a choice between a number of equally undesirable alternatives?

Forgive the wrong choice of words , it was a rushed question, just looking for a little inspiration. Yes indeed I am very interested in shock advertising but just looking for more of a focus point. Thank you mgoodman and thank you for taking the time to comment.

    Titles/questions:

"Shock advertising, public outrage, good taste, and the battle for sales."

"Shock and awe: the power of ads that zig when all other ads zag."

"Shock as in outrage? Or shock as in different? Advertising that gets and keeps attention."

Thank you Gary bloomer. Do you have any suggestions of titles/question that may combine shock advertising and ethics within the industry? Ethics is another subject to which I am greatly interested in . Thank you for your input, it is greatly received.
