Name For My Jewelry, Watches & Accessories Store

Posted by nistorluiza on 250 Points
I started one year ago to buy some fashion jewelry and watches and then sell them, with a small profit. I want to expand this business and make a facebook page and a website. I have hard time having a name. I don't really want to have "jewelry" or "accessories" incorporated, and not make it so obvious by adding "sparkle, glitz, beauty, brilliant, shine, crystal, fashion, trendy, glam". I would rather like something un-natural, and make a nice logo. Something feminine, with swirls and floral accents, shabby chic but modern.
I don't know hat else could I say, to help you help me, but feel free to ask questions.

What type of person purchased your goods? And why did they purchase them from you?
If someone's looking for what you're selling, how do you imagine they will they find you?

    1. Mostly young women, who are into fashion and like to have something so they could stand out.
    2. Because my prices are quite good, you can find similar products, or even the same at higher prices. I also offer a good price for shipping so it is convenient both for my customers and myself.
    3. I have a personal facebook profile, and there I have an album with the products, but still, I would like to make it official, and not mix personal with business anymore.

I don't quite see how this is relevant for the name, but I responded :()

The name needs to communicate something important about the benefit you provide for your primary target audience. That's why we need to understand who they are, what's important to them, and how they make decisions.

Being less expensive is NOT a sustainable strategy for a business. In fact, it can communicate that your merchandise and/or your service is inferior, or that YOU don't think it's worth much. You need to provide some real and tangible benefit for your target audience.

Things are going pretty well as they are now. For the future I will rethink things, but for now I am interested in having a name to be easier found.

For personal businesses your name can work as your name is your reputation, with a description of what you sell.

    Aphrodite Designs

    Finishing Touches

    Be Sh Ka

    She Cat

    Special-U

    De Vine

    Nightshade

Just a comment, you state that you want to be easier to find (assuming you mean online where you are selling) but you dont want to use jewe;ry in the name which is what you are selling. That is fine, but just understand that you need to define to anyone seeing your company name just what it represents, what you DO.

Search engines will index your web site based on relevance to potential search terms. If a user searches for "jewelry" and your site name has something to do with "jewelry" you have relevance. It is not mandatory to use the term in the company name but it might help.

Maybe a tagline would help to clarify your offerings and pricing...
