We are a local ethnic newspaper. I would like to know that how to open local mainstream marketing.And how to improve our advertising revenue.

From an advertiser's perspective, it's all about numbers and demographics. Have you done an audit to understand who your readers actually are? If so, then the next step is to identify businesses that would like to connect with these people, and price the opportunity appropriately.

You need to figure out what the interests, compulsions, and needs are of the people reading your newspaper.

You then offer these readers the services of companies that meet those needs. So, you need to understand who your readers are, what they want, and then marry those needs to the offerings of relevant service providers.

In this, you need to show service providers that you've got an audience that's in tune with the kinds of services being offered.

There MUST be a message to market to prospect match that runs in both directions: TO the needs and interests of the reader and TO the solutions and benefits of advertiser.
