How Can I Hire And Work With Distributors

I'm in my way to become the exclusive agent of a motor oil brand in my country.

The supplier will sell me the product with a price and i will sell and distribute the products in my country.

When i start working with distributors and wholesalers, what are the available strategies i can get started with?

Will i sell them the product for a profit margin and let them control the retail price, or will i control the retail price and give them commission based on sales volume?
