Pretty dumb question I am sure for the US profs - but I am a bit puzzled.
I am based in London UK and one of my clients has provided me with a list of email addresses collected from the internet of businesses based in the US.
These businesses have never heard of my client, and I am wondering how the Data Protection Law works there.
Can I just email them? Can I only contact the info@ ?
I am sure this going to be a very boring 101 question - if you could just tell me the basics or redirect me where I can find the relevant info.
