Video Campaign

Posted by gstarkey on 250 Points
I'm in charge of marketing at my job. We make double reed musical instruments like the bassoon and we have fans all over the world . I'm looking to tap into video as a new medium of connecting to the larger double reed community. any advice/suggested resources that will help me acquire the knowledge needed to produce useful, interactive video. Loved the recent content webinar where Mitchell Levy preached the use of Google hangouts!

Be sure you have an intimate understanding of what the double reed community wants. It may not be what you want it to want. You must fill a need, or it's just an interesting personal project.

Then, hire an experienced video professional to work with you to produce 1 or 2 short videos. Pay attention to how the professional looks at lighting, framing the scenes, and rehearsal of the actions. This is the fastest (although not the cheapest) way to learn. After you do this, all the tutorials and other stuff on making videos will resonate much better with you.

We can create video as per your requirement. Please inform what is the easiest way to get in touch with you?

We also have a new technology called Soundlinks that can embed URLs in the soundtrack of the video, so that when you play back the video, people can use an App with Soundlinks capability to decode the URL. Try to download "Soundlinks" App in iOS AppStore.

If you have not already done so, you should probably create a Google alert for bassoon and for each of your other instruments.
