Need Cool Upbeat Name For Training Program

Posted by elizabeth on 250 Points
I am starting a training program for a real estate company of about 400 agents. I will be training newly licensed agents, most under 30, as well as experience seasoned agents. I want the name for the new agent program to tie in with advanced training. I want to get the attention of the under 30 and over 50 age groups. We have some great icons to use since it is real estate; keys, doors, steps, to name a few. Everything I think of sounds old and worn out! Any suggestions?

Start at the beginning. Has there been a previous training program? How was it received? If this is a new(er) program, what's special about the program? Is it mandatory training? Is there a second ("advanced") followup program as well? Why do you need to "get attention"? If the program will improve their results, then wouldn't they rush to sign up? What's remarkable about this program? Also - what's the name of your real estate company (if you want the name to tie in with it)?

Now that we know what you do, can you tell us what the benefit is for the agents who go through the training? Why might they want to spend their time listening to what you have to say?

The word "training" sounds a lot like "I will tell you what to do." Why not instead refer to "Discover ..." or Learn the secrets ..." Those are a lot more enticing.

You might consider conducting short interviews with a dozen or so of the agents you will be training. Ask them high-gain questions to see if you can uncover what's on their minds, what they would value, and what words they use when they talk about their needs, values, habits, attitudes, etc. Their input will give you plenty of ideas for the name of the program.

We are mostly not real estate agents, so asking us about a name for your program strikes me as inside-out thinking.

These are all good points and questions. There has been training before with this company but I am implementing a new program. For newly licensed agents it will be training, I will tell them how to do it. For others it will not be showing them ways to improve what they are doing by using technology or other more up to date tools. So it is a little of both.

"Wouldn't they rush to come?" Yes, just like everyone rushes to the gym to work out! Some will come to learn new skills, some will thing they don't need it and others will let business get in the way with learning how to do the business more efficiently.

R.A.T - I have been playing around with Real Training for Real Agents.

    Thanks for all the input.

The Real Workout....I really like that. I could do it and stick with the Gym scenario for names on advance classes, etc.

Thanks. I will play around with it a little more.
