Instagram Do's And Don'ts For Brands

Posted by reevesj on 50 Points
Sometimes, we repost UGC to our instagram feed that doesn't feature 100% of our company's products. For example, a beautiful pool scene may only feature OUR umbrella but someone else's chaise, pool float, etc.

Thoughts on whether or not this is right or wrong? IF we only posted UGC with 100% of our products - we'd not have as much to post.

Do you have any way to determine if the Instagram feed is doing anything for your business? It's possible your question is largely irrelevant if the Instagram presence isn't generating interest/business for you.

If you DO have a way to measure results, let them speak for themselves: Your current approach is good if it's generating more profit than it costs (in management time). Otherwise drop it, as it is distracting you from more productive activities.

Very often "free" social media are not producing measurable results, so they are serving more as a way to pat yourself on the back, rather than generating new business or enhancing brand image. (If the shoe fits ...)
