Strategy For Mobile Carwash Business?

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
I am planning to start a Mobile CarWash business in a month. Now i dont have any storefront. All i have is a website. I am targeting social media like FB, Instagram, twitter, giffy and obviously youtube.

FB: I wanted to do some marination before i start with my pre-launch marketing and teaser campaign so i had created a group called carwash lovers kolkata. out there i have over 200 members(80 unique) and i regularly share carwash tips and encouraging people to share real time stories and their views too. Slowly i can see people interacting. My FB page is ready and will publish once i start with my pre-launch marketing in order to attract pre-bookings.

Youtube: I have a plan to come with tutorial vids (trendy transitions & fun+serious content). Apart from tut vids i'm also trying to collab with few other specialist in this field from other country and want to record interviews

Website: website is an e-store where people can buy online or offline by phone call. Every hour i have a plan to change discount coupons to keep the site interactive for the visitors.

Now i want to go organic (no paid media if i really dont have to for now) everywhere.

Would you have some more suggestion on other areas that i might be missing out. Or your critical suggestions on my strategy. Would mean a lot to me

Thanks
imo

Would someone hire your mobile services to come to them to wash their car? If so, the people you're currently targeting may be not quite right - these are people who already love to wash their own car (rather than have someone else wash it for them). Who would likely hire your services? Would they hire you for: professional needs (to keep their car fleet looking good), executive needs (to make their expensive car look good), or something else?

I Guess so, the reason why, people especially carlovers do look for professional services when it comes waxing, paint protection, scratch removal etc. An educated (carcarewise) guy would feel the need to go for professional services. You can say it has a niche market and there is always niche community (like supercars, premium cars etc) . I am not at all considering this to be a unique reach. But as this is social media, I felt my myth busting discussion would help to gain trust. Because at least in this industry trust works more than anything.
However if you have any suggestions please feel free to share. Also would love to hear from you your strategy to to reach 'common individual' who might not know about cars but can be a potential customer

You probably ought to conduct interviews with a dozen people in your target audience to see how they feel about getting their cars washed. Don't present them with a sales pitch. Just ask them about their current habits, practices, values, beliefs, attitudes and awareness of car maintenance issues. See what they volunteer and what words they use. Then present them with a simple statement (no hype) of what your business would offer, and record their reactions.

If you do this carefully, your detailed notes from these interviews will contain lots of great ideas for your business. (This is what smart marketing consultants do when they begin a project. And clients are amazed at how well they hit the mark every time.)

This is a great idea indeed and can work wonders. I'm surely going to get this done. However i have been already interacting with people who goes to other car wash stations. There are very few though, and i have cleverly engineered my service profile in such a way that i stand out completely in a service battle may it be tools, may it eye of details, may it be professionalism, may it be personalized approach or even may it be PRICE(i'll be running deals too, which nobody does right at this point of time). There is a clear difference in service quality(as i myself have experienced all of my competitors service).
So to summarize, there is a market. Obviously it has to be grown exponentially but steadily
Also as i had mentioned about tut vids or interviews/discussion over a topic with some specialists, the reason being i'm also eyeing for an online mag and eventually online revenue generation format out of this.

Just a word of caution: The price you charge is a clear and unambiguous expression of what you think your service is worth. If you really believe your offering is better than that of competition, be sure your price reflects that. Be at least 10% more expensive than your nearest competitor.

    1) agreed on pricing comments - do not base your company on price. Loyalty programs are much more effective

    2) Select a niche that will influence your total audience. i.e. (like supercars, premium cars etc) would be perfect as price vs value is not in the discussion. Once cash flow is achieved in whatever niche is chosen, then expand to the next

    3) Once you chose your niche, Mr. Goodman is correct - go directly to them and ask what they want and how much would the pay for that want
