Posted by Anonymous on 25 Points
I am planning to start a center where all kind of skills can be taught for the kids. So in a way its a place where kids can acquire both life skills and extra cirricular activities. Need a good and catchy name for my center.

Tell us more about your target audience. Who are they? Where? What do you know about them -- beliefs, values, habits, practices, attitudes, awareness, etc.? What are they doing now? Who/what is your competition?

Do you have a marketing plan? Can you share some of that with us? The plan should provide important guidance for naming.

BTW, you are better served focusing on the unique and compelling benefit your target audience can expect than on "catchy." "Catchy" is something people do when they don't have a meaningful benefit or source of differentiation.

Thanks mgoodman for your time. My target audience is kids up to age 17. My plan is to provide different sessions related to values, personality development, habits, social behaviour, etc etc.

How are these kids (in your target audience) going to learn about you? Won't they need parents' approval? Who is going to make the purchase decision?

I meant to say sessions will be for kids. Ofcourse Parents will be the decision makers. So, Parents should be knowing about us and take decision for their kids

So what is the benefit for parents?

I am not sure what you are expecting? Obiously they will be learning the skills what we will be teaching na. Whetehr it can be morals/values/leadershipskills/extracirricular activities like dance /music etc depends on which couse they enroll their kid

I'm asking why parents would want to enroll their children in your program. What is the benefit for the parent? Why should they spend their money on your program instead of hiring a private tutor or spending their own time with their children?

You keep telling us what you plan to offer/do, but you haven't yet identified the essential benefit for your primary target audience. That benefit should be at the core of your business and marketing plans. If it isn't clear to you it won't be clear to your target audience. They might just see you as a childcare service. Is that what you want?
