The Surgical Solutions Global Business Unit of Covidien is the world leader in the innovation and manufacture of surgical products.
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
This position will function as a multi-media content editor supporting business functions of the Surgical Solutions global business unit within Covidien. This team has a primary focus on Sales, Marketing, Sales Training, Reporting, Sales / Marketing Operations and Web. The Senior Web Content Specialist, Surgical Solutions will work closely with the Marketing Technology Manager, VP of Marketing Operations, Information Systems, shared services groups and the team to develop digital marketing tools through assessment and definition. Ownership includes but is not limited to content development, search engine optimization, quality assurance, analytics integration/reporting, implementation of internal and contract application development. The candidate should have an extremely broad base of marketing skills including copywriting, SEO best practices, Google Analytics, as well as an understanding of web development.
1.Optimizing Covidien website(s), landing pages, and mobile applications for optimum search engine rankings.
2.Perform SEO keyword research and analysis using industry keyword tools.
3.Create and optimize unique content, website copy, on-page elements, Meta tags, blog posts etc. to support improved organic ranking opportunities.
4.Support the development of content strategy and link building strategy with team members.
5.Understand business goals and propose reporting solutions. Recommend campaign tracking solutions utilizing Google Analytics, Eloqua, and other various tools to report on departmental KPIs.
6.Maintenance of existing content/websites.
7.Provide support for team members developing in Covidien proprietary Content Management system.
8.Construct web components using a variety of electronic content elements (text, graphics, video, etc).
9.Implements content structure, navigation logic and user interface for site materials.
10.Assists with the design and development of interactive web-based applications, web components and sites using established user interface features.
11.Troubleshoots issues with websites, works with appropriate resources to resolve them.
12.Recommends additional service and usability enhancements for online content.
13.To assist in the planning of overall company policy regarding search engine optimization, web analytics tracking, and user interface strategy.
14.Monitors website technical performance, SEO performance, link building performance to aid in the development of the content strategy.
15.Work on projects including web layout enhancements (UI), desktop applications, website enhancements, web-based applications, and database-backed websites.

Bachelor degree in Marketing, English, Computer Science, Business
6-8+ Years of Content Marketing Experience
Digital Marketing Professional and Analyst offering 6+ years of progressive experience developing content marketing strategies utilizing: Google Analytics, Web Analytics, Data Analytics, Visualizations, HTML, CSS, Adobe Photoshop, Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
•Experience managing applications for sales / marketing business functions.
•Knowledge of common programming languages including HTML5
•Google Analytics certified or extended experience implementing this tool.
•Familiarity with Google Webmaster tools, and SEO tracking tools.
•User Interface (UI) analysis, strategy experience
•Communication Skills - Solid communication skills, both written and oral, with very strong customer service orientation and win-win negotiation skills
•Interpersonal Skills – Relationship builder and a team player
•Proven Problem Solving skills – ability to quickly identify & validate problems and drive resolution; navigate when to dig and when to elevate
•Ability to deal with ambiguity and a rapidly changing business environment
•Medical Device industry experience is a plus.
Reports to Surgical Solutions Marketing Technology/ Web Manager in Boulder, CO.
