Job Description:
The primary responsibility for this position is to design, develop and maintain complex ebusiness solutions for local, national and international clients. The Senior Web Applications Developer will be also have an opportunity to be part of team that develops customized solutions based on the Canterris enterprise content management (ECM) suite.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Development of Commercial-Quality Software
* Interaction with members of other departments
* Customer-focused continuation issues
* Mentoring and knowledge transfer to other members of the development team
Qualifications:
* MUST develop HTML markup in XHTML Strict/XHTML 1.1 and use CSS
* 2+ years experience in Object Oriented Programming
* 3+ years hands-on experience with web technologies - PHP, Apache, MySQL, & JavaScript
* Strong experience with Web Services
* Strong XML, XSL/XSLT, and DTD or Schema validation skills
* Strong SQL skills with at least 3+ years of experience with knowledge of SQL99 standards
* Previous experience architecting complex web applications
* Familiarity with web-based testing and QA processes
* Must have exceptional analytical skills, ability to focus skill toward solution-driven results
* 5+ years experience in web programming
* 3+ Experience with database design and programming
* Troubleshoot and fix production bugs/issues
* Experience developing on Linux (Red Hat Enterprise) and Microsoft platforms
* Team player with excellent verbal & written skills
* Demonstrated abilities in multitasking
* Strong experience with both custom and open source solutions
* Required business knowledge of digital asset and content management systems, customer relationship management and/or eCommerce
Other Desired Skills:
* LDAP, WebDav, and metadata standards such as EPA, GILS, IAFA, US-MARC, or Dublin Core
* Data mining, machine learning, or applied statistics background
* User interface/usability experience
* Experience building social networks, viral marketing applications, or online email and newsletter systems
* Experience crossing the Java and PHP bridge
* Experience with Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server database products
* Knowledge of Zend products
* Knowledge content structures and design of content type definitions and workflow processes for content publishing
