Job Description:
The Internet Marketing and Production Manager will help ensure that the web channel is fully leveraged to support the achievement of key organizational goals and objectives. The successful candidate will possess a blend of Web content skills and marketing knowledge with a strong sense of user experience design. They will coordinate with IT, Program, R & D and Development staff to ensure that the latest content and materials are made available and promoted via the web. They will oversee the production of web content that is appropriate for target market segments and that enhances client satisfaction and loyalty. They will advance our Internet-based marketing activities, while tracking and reporting the measurable results of these efforts.

Responsibilities include:
Website Management
·Coordinate with senior IT, Program and Development staff to provide oversight for all content-related aspects of Facing History’s web site.
·Conceptualize and help to implement improvements to site information architecture, visual design; continually improve the appeal and usability of Facing History’s web presence.
·Ensure integration between Internet communication and traditional print media.
·Analyze performance of the site; design ways to measure and report on results (metrics).

Web Content Production
·Lead Web editorial process; refine and update processes and policies, insure timely and relevant content is highlighted and maintained on the Facing History site.
·Write and/or edit copy to ensure that the content on the site is clear, accurate, and compelling, and in support of Facing History’s mission.
·Oversee production of all Web content for www.facinghistory.org in consultation with various departments (Program, R & D, Development).
·Ensure permissions are obtained for assets used throughout the site.
·Maintain the www.facinghistory.org home page, create, test, and update links and landing pages throughout the site.

Internet and E-mail Marketing
·Ensure that Facing History’s services and products are aggressively promoted via the web.
·Organize and implement web marketing programs that generate awareness of Facing History and Ourselves and its professional development programs among our target education audiences.
·Develop and implement an eMarketing plan to target appropriate services to educators who have already created personalized web profiles.
·Work with Program staff to develop and implement integrated communication plans that effectively blend Web and e-mail content to reach educators.
·Collaborate with key members of the Development team to advance models that can further fundraising efforts by utilizing e-mail and Web communication.
·Implement Search Engine Optimization techniques; insure the Facing History site is present on major search engines, optimize metatags, manage pay-per-click and Google Adword campaigns.

Essential Skills/Qualities:
·Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
·Outstanding communication and organizational skills, strategic and analytical capabilities.
·A fundamental understanding of marketing and branding.
·Experience in online marketing programs and/or e-commerce projects.
·Web design and development experience.
·Experience in project management and demonstrated ability to scope, plan, and complete projects on timelines.
·Writing skills, ability to edit material for publication in an accurate, timely manner.
·Proven track record in creation/editing/management of content.
·Working knowledge of copyright issues.
·Keen interest in, and commitment to, the mission of Facing History and Ourselves
