Job Description:
The Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corporation (GPTMC) seeks a Special Projects Web Producer for a full-time position for the production and management of small to medium-scale web-based projects on Gophila.com, from inception to completion. He or she will also be primarily responsible for the ongoing upkeep, maintenance and appearance of certain designated content areas on Gophila.com. The position reports directly to the Technology Manager and resides within the gophila.com department.

The Special Projects Web Producer will be involved, in varying degrees, with the following aspects of said projects and content areas: the production and maintenance of web content, written and multi-media; the development of assigned project scopes; the preparation and maintenance of project timelines; ongoing evaluation and optimization of website User Interfaces, content and designs; ongoing website refinement based on site analytics; etc.

The Web Producer is responsible for working with the web team (design, development, tech, QA, content, etc.) and for communicating project status with the Technology Manager.

Responsibilities:

- Work on small to large-scale web-based projects on gophila.com from inception to completion (creative brainstorm, scope development, wire frame, design, production, QA, tracking, delivery, review, launch, etc.)
- Create and maintain thorough project blueprints for important web projects (i.e. scoping documentation, production timeline, sitemap, wireframe deck, etc.)
- Produce and publish content for a variety of small- to large-scale web projects: written content, photography, video, interactive applications, widgets, etc.
- Work with templates to produce desired results, e.g. minimal bounce rates, maximize time on site.
- Ongoing management of certain sections of gophila.com — keeping events, attractions, photos, descriptions, insider tips, and other aspects as fresh and current as possible
- Manage an update schedule for assigned sections of the website.
- Produce content for enewsletters related to special projects.
- Implement best practices for online SEO as warranted across newly produced and existing pages on gophila.com.
- Develop and maintain budget and track expenses for special projects as necessary.
- Manifest traditional PR materials online in a visually compelling and immersive way.
- Research and fact check content details as necessary.
- Work in a variety of applications, including Gophila.com’s custom content and data management systems and Microsoft Office.
- Balance new projects and developments with the maintenance of the existing website experience.

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s Degree
- 2+ years of related web experience
- Intermediate proficiency with HTML and CSS required
- Experience making and working from UI site maps, wireframes and storyboards
- Experience with Flash and JavaScript a plus
- Working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, and Visio
- Ability to prioritize and organize multiple projects and budgets and determine and manage production timelines and budgets.
- Understating of coding and design as it relates to web projects in terms of the required technical specifications and limitations
- Excellent organization and planning skills
- Candidate should be an early adopter of new technology and, accordingly, be a fast learner
- Extremely Internet savvy
- Experience working directly with or within an interactive agency
- Excellent web copy writing skills
- Experience planning and facilitating meetings
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
- Experience on both Mac and PC operating systems
