Job Description:
Develop and support new and existing web applications using ASP.Net, VB.Net, SQL Server, Classic ASP, DHTML and CSS in a virtual company environment. This is a remote (work from home) position. We are looking for a self starter with thorough understanding and experience in programming web applications. This is not a learn on the job position; candidate should be proficient in all skills below.
Overall 4-5 years web development experience, with in-depth knowledge of .Net development (specifically ASP.Net with VB.Net code behind), IIS, and SQL Server.
Bachelors degree preferred, but certification and equivalent work experience accepted
Candidate must have thorough understanding and hands-on experience with:
Full life cycle software development, including front and backend development and implementation
Visual Studio 2005+, ASP.NET, VB.Net, Classic ASP, AJAX, COM, JavaScript, T-SQL, DHTML, CSS
Configuring and programming SQL Server, including normalized data models, T-SQL, stored procedures, and triggers
Configuring, monitoring, and optimizing Windows Server and IIS
SEO and Internet marketing
Managing domains and sub domains
Cross browser compatibility
Working on and supporting multiple projects at the same time
Internet Security Protocols
Candidate must be able to:
Work remotely (from home)
Manage and fulfill incoming website maintenance requests from staff throughout the US (3 time zones)
Work independently and manage time effectively
Work flexible hours, including weekends when necessary
Learn and evaluate new development tools quickly
Self train and keep up with technology advancements
Communicate with 3rd party vendors to support products and services
High interaction with company business units
