Job Title: Marketing Copywriter

Job Description
The Marketing Copywriter will be responsible for the conception and execution of innovative, promotionally-slanted copy for email, online advertising and direct response pieces, and will have the ability to create compelling headlines, smart, concise body copy, and clear instructional copy in his/her sleep. In addition, the Marketing Copywriter will be able to partner with direct response marketing managers and Web team designers to ensure the art direction supports the concept.
Creative and conceptual thinking is a must, but analytical thinking is also needed with regard to Information Architecture (IA) and user experience.
This position reports to the Director -Online Advertising and will be responsible for the following activities:
Research and write copy for specific advertising and marketing campaigns with the goal of driving customer acquisition
Review all copy requests for e-mail, web page, and other direct response campaigns, meeting with direct response marketing managers as needed, and submit recommended copy to be implemented with outlined schedule
Review/edit or create new copy for search engine keyword and banner copy and corresponding landing pages as needed
Assure that all copy is appropriate for style of campaign, and follows Corporate Style Guide as necessary
Manage legal copywriting review process, assuring that approved deliverables are available to meet implementation deadlines
Job Experience
Strong linguistic and writing skills
Minimum 5 years professional copywriting experience / 2 years promotional copywriting experience in agency/brand experience that includes writing for online and direct marketing (Writing samples required)
Organized, with excellent attention to detail
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Bachelor's degree in Communications or English preferred
Must be available to work onsite
