We are a national, leading domestic personnel placement company (helping place nannies, housekeepers, etc.). We are seeking an outgoing, positive, mature, organized, creative, intelligent and efficient Public Relations Specialist to join our team. The position is currently a part-time work-from-home position, with the potential to become full-time in the future. Computer and office equipment provided.
Job Description:
*Prepare and distribute press releases and media kits to media outlets (such as newspapers, magazines, television and radio, etc.).
*Write speeches and op-ed pieces.
*Assist with special event planning.
*Represent the company at press conferences and trade shows.
*Track trends and identify opportunities to receive media coverage.
*Prepare weekly and monthly status reports.
Requirements:
*Candidate must live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
*Requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in public relations.
*Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within media and public relations, both on-line and off-line.
*Ability to write Press Releases.
*Candidate must have quiet working environment.
*Computer and office equipment provided, but candidate must have existing high-speed internet and a room in their home which serves exclusively as an office.
*Extremely good verbal and written communication skills are an ABSOLUTE MUST! Please do not apply if your written and verbal skills are not EXCELLENT.
*Candidate MUST have proven organization skills.
*Computer proficiency required (including internet, MS Word, MS Excel).
*Candidate must be willing to undergo a pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check.
