Job Description:
Tradeweb is a leading marketplace for fixed income, derivatives and equity trading. Our fixed income and derivatives platforms offer a complete spectrum of services ranging from Premier Market Data to Leading Online Marketplaces, Tradeweb links the trading desks of 35 of the world’s leading fixed-income dealers with more than 2,200 buy-side institutions in North America, Europe and Asia. The company executes over $200 billion in trading volume on average each day and has executed over 11 million trades with total volume surpassing $160 trillion since its inception in 1998. In short, by whatever standard Tradeweb is measured – dealers, liquidity, product coverage, price transparency or ease-of-use – Tradeweb is the industry leader.

Tradeweb’s equity trading-related assets include AutEx, BlockDATA and Tradeweb Routing Network. AutEx is an industry leader in providing equity indications of interest (“IOIs”). Tradeweb Routing Network is a leading global FIX network, with more than 7,000 connections to over 800 customers around the world.

Job Overview
This is a high-profile role, requiring the individual to have a strong appreciation for the working dynamics of a fast-moving, global business. The Director is responsible for marketing and communication across the company, including Fixed Income, Derivatives and Equities, and across STP and Market Data.

The Director is accountable for external and internal communications. In the external role, he/she is responsible for developing a consistent, strong message in the media, consistent with the overall Tradeweb mission. Internally, the role demands an ongoing focus on keeping staff fully informed of company developments and overarching strategy as well as developing programs designed to maintain high morale.

He/she will have the opportunity to work closely with Thomson Reuters’s PR department to leverage opportunities that might arise from the broader Reuters media operation.

Given the broad mandate of the organization – to be the world’s leading multi-asset class marketplace – the Director has to have a strong understanding of the electronic markets and the global financial markets in which the company operates. In addition, an acute understanding of the relationship balance between the institutional client base and the dealers (brokers) is an essential component factor in the development of successful marketing and communications strategies.

The role is supported by a small marketing department, which will be operationally managed by a Vice President. The Director needs to provide clear direction and support to the VP in establishing priorities and standards for the group.

The Director works closely with global colleagues in formulating strategies, to ensure consistency and efficiency. Developing strong relationships with the President and the Director of Marketing and Communications (Europe/Asia) is important.

Responsibilities

 Creating a marketing strategy
 Creating and managing advertising campaigns and direct marketing campaigns
 Management of internal and external communications
 Management of Tradeweb’s media policy and all media relations
 Developing and managing external agency relationships
 Directing all interactive marketing
 Overseeing sales support and collateral production
 Assisting with product launches and pricing strategies

Management Responsibilities

The Director is responsible for ensuring that all initiatives are tightly planned, coordinated and executed. He/she prepares strategic plans and budgets for the department and reviews these at least quarterly with management. In this role, you are expected to manage and develop the skills of the team in line with the increasing needs of Tradeweb’s growing business. The marketing department is responsible for:

 Sales support, including custom premiums, collateral, etc.
 Maintaining Help Pages and other print and electronic documentation, to ensure that it is professional, up-to-date and user-friendly.
 Event Management – the team coordinates external events, working with conference companies and other external vendors to ensure maximum value from each event.
 Budget Management – the team will keep accurate records of the state of the marketing budget, with easily-accessible YTD information versus plan.
Requirements
A thorough knowledge of the fixed income, derivatives markets and equities markets is highly desirable for this role, as is an understanding of the relationship that exists between the dealers and their institutional client base. The job requires a willingness to work unpredictable, often long hours and an ability to travel.

The Director is well-organized and able to deliver projects on-time and to a superior quality.

The Director is a college graduate with 10+ years of developing and delivering strategic marketing programs in a business-to-business financial services organization, incorporating tactics such as tradeshow/conference participation, direct marketing, advertising and hospitality. He/she is naturally inclined to constant learning and delivering beyond expectations.

 Degree
 10+ years in a marketing role
 Financial Services & Fixed Income knowledge
 B-to-B E-commerce
 Management experience
 Strong communication
 Experience working with C-level executives
