POSITION SUMMARY

Marketing Services Manager is responsible for the direction and management of all marketing programs and promotion of all products and services through oversight of three key business units: Market Research, Advertising and Corporate Internet Channel. The Marketing Services Manager will be responsible for developing strategic marketing plans which align with USPS corporate revenue objectives. This manager will lead a team of marketing professionals who are responsible for marketing communications, creative marketing and product marketing. This manager is responsible for developing and executing a strategy to increase revenue while exceeding profitability goals. This position will be critical in developing and executing strategic and tactical marketing plans to drive revenue growth, acquire new clients, build brand equity, and partner with the sales organization to develop the materials they need to drive growth. Ideal candidate will have a master’s degree in business, and have between ten to fifteen years of experience in managing marketing initiatives.


RESPONSIBILITIES

•Serve as manager for three functional areas: Market Research, Advertising and Internet Channel.

•Provide leadership and coordination of product management and marketing product plans to successfully penetrate new markets.

•Develop and manage marketing budgets, and oversee the development and management of internal operating budgets.

•Analyze and report on the ROI and overall effectiveness of products, marketing initiatives and promotions.

•Develop and direct operational growth plans of the internet business channel and coordinate the marketing communications efforts for company materials.

•Conduct and analyze market research to determine risk and marketability of potential products and product features such as licensing, merchandising.

•Leverage the USPS’ position to develop a unified, consistent company image through the use of standard colors, logos, packaging, advertising, web site design and media events.

•Increase the USPS’ visibility in the industry and advance the recognition of the organization as a market leader, maximizing market share and improving the organization's competitive position and its penetration of target markets.

•Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business required, MBA desired.



ADDITIONAL EXPERTISE

•Successful incumbent will need to develop plans to acquire qualified customers through a wide variety of marketing channels, including online advertising and partnerships.

•Experience in online marketing, and knowledge of consumer marketing, including traditional, direct and online, as well as web-based interactive marketing will be essential. Furthermore, experience in site merchandising, email marketing, online promotions, and experience in software or related technology industry is a plus.

•Candidate will have prior P&L responsibility and significant experience in consumer-based internet or e-commerce industry.

•Candidate will possess a successful leadership track record, and possess the demonstrated ability to deliver results and grow revenue, and develop an actionable business development strategy.

•Ability to manage multiple simultaneous multi-tactic promotions and related action items across functional organizations is critical.
Strong organizational, analytical, strategic thinking and problem solving skills, as well as excellent oral and written presentation skills is essential.
