We are currently seeking a Public Relations Manager to join our dynamic MarCom team in our Headquarter office. This person will be responsible for driving and managing strategic and tactical public relations initiatives across key vertical markets to build equity in the TARGUSinfo brand as an innovative market leader of information services. Proactively work with diverse business units to promote new technologies and products, market-leading company initiatives, and corporate values, and increase overall positive industry awareness.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, execute, and continually refresh a public relations plan that drives business demand in the TARGUSinfo marketplace, which may include managing and driving third-party agency(ies).
Ensure the timely development of communication pieces that protect and maintain TARGUSinfo market leadership, including: press releases, feature articles, scripts, editorials, promotion pieces, thought leadership papers, articles, speaking abstracts, testimonials, and case studies.
Oversee brand administration including requests for service marks.
Responsible for the pressroom section of our website including the posting of press releases, articles and other content as applicable.
Building direct relationships with select media and select analysts.
Providing direction for and coordinate all media and press interviews.
Prepare summaries of media activities for executive management.
Qualifications
The successful candidate must have extensive public relations experience in a business-to-business situation.
Successfully demonstrated an ability to manage third-party agencies, as well as worked effectively with management team members at from the supervisory to executive levels.
A rigorous work ethic, initiative and independent thinking, exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and ability to work in electronic media are required.
7+ years of relevant experience
Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required in communications, journalism or public relations; MBA a strong plus
