Job Description:
The University of Cincinnati is currently accepting applications for a Director of Marketing. The Director of Marketing will develop marketing and business development policies, programs and systems to support the overall college mission, vision, and strategic direction. S/he will develop the annual, triennial and quinquennial marketing strategic plan(s) and the tactics, resources and budgets necessary to achieve goals. A portfolio presentation will be required of all finalists for the position.

Ideal Qualifications:
• A minimum of 7 years experience and a track record of success in designing and implementing marketing campaigns for a comprehensive performing arts and media organization.
• A strong working knowledge of music, performing arts, electronic media, artists, repertoire, and performing arts operations
• A passion for connecting audiences with the performing arts, music and media
• Senior-level marketing experience and a track record for achieving and exceeding goals for earned income
• Superb planning, budgeting, analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Effective supervisory and collaborative skills and the leadership to motivate individuals and teams to achieve goals and contribute their best work
• Skills in working effectively with creative talent in order to achieve the highest standards in all marketing materials
• Experience in conducting, analyzing and utilizing market research
• Knowledge about direct mail, telemarketing, and e-marketing, and be comfortable employing new media and Internet technology
• Strong experience in developing opportunities for promotional partnerships and collaborations with sponsors and various community organizations and media Experience working with advancing the goals of the Development Office of a major organization

Min. Quals.: Master's degree in Marketing and Communication.

Candidates must have extensive and progressive institutional marketing experience in higher education or in a higher education-related or performing arts industry.

Candidates must possess an understanding of market trends and have significant experience with current technological tools including CRM systems. We need a practical, output-driven and data-informed Director to work with a small team to conceive and carry out strategies.
