Under the direction of the Marketing Manager, Corporate and Open Enrollment Marketing, the Marketing Database Administrator is a technical role that is responsible for data quality, maintenance and integrity for ESI’s open enrollment contacts within our Eloqua database. In addition, this role is responsible for conducting research and procuring contacts (leads) to supplement the existing database, toward reaching our open enrollment sales and marketing goals.
Database Growth •Add leads to our current open enrollment database to supplement current data •Conduct research (via the internet, vendors, agencies and other methods) on procuring lists to supplement data available within the database •Manage development of a list building function to relevant and non-competitive companies •Update, research and validate lead contact information within database
Database Maintenance & Health •Develop Open Enrollment portion of ESI’s Eloqua database for direct marketing purposes and research •Coordinate and monitor the maintenance, integrity, and security of open enrollment portion of database •Understand bi-lateral data structures with SalesForce.com for data integration, hygiene, segmentation, append, and list management •Develop and code the list segmentation for all open enrollment marketing campaigns •Execute segmentation around marketing/sales plans •Perform data extraction •Evaluate and optimize effectiveness of marketing campaigns •Conduct and interpret data analysis •Create custom reports •Analyze previous marketing campaigns •Analyze campaign for key metrics •Manage preparation and production of monthly open enrollment database reports showing growth and usage of data •Regulate the use of data to ensure prevention of fatigue •Oversee all open enrollment marketing database projects including enhancement of data according to agreed criteria
Required Skills •Proven ability to develop and analyze B2B marketing metrics using Eloqua dashboards and Excel •Ability to use Excel at an advanced level including extensive experience with formula writing and pivot tables •Ability to execute on database segmentation strategies •Must have ability to work in a fast paced environment, work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, accomplish repetitive tasks and pay attention to details •Detail-oriented and committed to excellence •Reliable, dependable and a good team player •Ability to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment •Ability to work independently and as part of a team •Excellent communication skills
Required Experience •Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or the like •Two years’ experience using a marketing automation/database platform (Eloqua preferred) •Eloqua certification desired
