Shameless Marketing Stunt

No one looks forward to the Walk of Shame—that early morning journey back to your place after a one-night stand. In most cases, you're wearing the same clothes from the night before; nursing a hangover; and showing off a spectacular case of bedhead.

The makers of AMP Energy Relaunch decided to play off this time-honored tradition—no doubt a regular experience for its core demographic—with a song of empowerment called "The Walk of No Shame." It starts out with a series of young people in typical "morning after" scenarios, each delivering appropriately clumsy lyrics:

Guy #1: When you wake up in the morning in an unfamiliar place
Guy #2: And you can't remember when or where, let alone her face
Girl #1: You cannot find your shoe and your hair smells like a bar
Guy #3: But you kind of feel excited because you got very far

A swig of the AMP energy drink, though, quickly resolves the general sense of disorientation, and everyone bands together in the street, singing a chorus of, "I will not be ashamed!" The song concludes with a nod to the inevitable, as two unkempt people move to the front of the crowd:

Guy #4: I try to learn my lesson
Girl #2: Time and time again
Guy #4: Tomorrow when the clock strikes two, I'm back in love again (Guy and Girl notice each other, and smile coyly)
Guy #4: Back in love again

By creating a funny, viral-worthy campaign to which most of us can relate, AMP has delivered a nifty piece of Marketing Inspiration.
