Post-Forum Funk (and Something to Lift Us out of It!)

I'm in a bit of funk this week. A week ago today, we were kicking off the MarketingProfs B2B Forum—and celebrating two full days of camaraderie and learning, with a ton of laughs rolled in. (And, really, that's the best way to learn, right? When you're having fun?)

So this week, as you might imagine, feels a little bit like the day after the party. Like the day after your birthday, the day after Christmas, and January 2nd all rolled into one. If you were in Boston with us at the Forum... maybe you know what I mean.

Am I sounding melodramatic? Perhaps. But MarketingProfs events are just that fun.

(Of course, I would say that. But lots of others agree with me. Peruse the tweets, see the photos, and read the blog coverage here.)

Good thing I have a few things to look forward to this week, primarily this online seminar with Jeremiah Owyang. I've been a big fan of Jeremiah's since his days at Podtech almost 25 years ago. (Actually, that's 25 "Internet years"—where each year is like a dog year. Jeremiah actually worked at Podtech from 2006 to 2007.)

This week, Jeremiah fittingly takes on a big topic, Scaling Social Business: How Brands Can Build Their Business Now (and Position for What's Next in Social Media). You won't want to miss it. (And neither will I. I have to pull myself out of this funk somehow!)

See you there—if not before.

PS: Jeremiah's seminar this week kicks off the 2nd Annual Social Media Summer Series—eight seminars focused on adding Social Media to your marketing mix. (It's never too early for summer!) More on that next week...
