Most digital marketing agencies don't think the health of the industry is very good right now, but most also expect revenue to increase this year, according to recent research from Sparktoro and Founder Focus.

The report was based on data from a survey conducted in September and October 2025 among 376 digital agency owners and solo consultants.

Only 12% of respondents say the digital agency world feels very healthy right now.

Some 47% of respondents say the health of the agency world is okay and 41% say it's a struggle.

Some 64% of respondents believe revenue for their digital agency will increase over the next 12 months.

Some 53% of respondents say AI poses a significant threat to the agency business model.

Two-thirds of respondents agree that there will be less opportunity for junior employees to get hired, trained, and progress in the future.
