The Most Lame Emarketing Attempt Ever

Not a dilemma, unless of course you call getting these things a dilemma. But, I thought it would be worth sharing with all of my colleagues, and students.

Subject: Time, Money, Keeping you from earning the Degree you deserve? - Brady

Hey Family!

Just wanted to write you, and let you know, how the degree program I tried out went.
Well, six weeks later, I graduated, finished & received my Masters Degree with no study required and oxvfpgw verifiable.

Yeah mom, I know you and Dad doubted it at first, but this turned out to be evsjjn legit. This opportunity was given to me because of the professional experience and previous course work I had accumulated.

I'm so excited mom and dad, this was a life altering opportunity & for once in my life I took advantage of it.

I already have jobs, that wouldn't have given me a chance before, now they are calling off the hook! This really is a godsend.

Tell Susan and Cousin Joey that they better hurry up and call that # I gave them the other day.

Again these are the degrees they offer, BA, BSC, MA, MSC, MBA and PhD, and the number to call is 1-123-123-1234, tell them to leave a brief message with their name, the degree they are interested in and their day and evening phone numbers. They will contact you soon after,

Anyway, much love, and tell the rest of the family I said hello

Your son,

Mom, why don't you send this email to a few of your friends? My professor told me that if we send over referrals the school can give us a scholarship.

Sorta makes the 500+ "Chase Bank" emails I get each day seem downright reasonable.

    Hi Randall

The cheekiest ones to sneak under my anti-spam radar have a variable and almost random content section – so that neither my ISP nor our own server can recognise them as Junk. They are all about weight loss or performance twixt the sheets!

Don’t click the link = I don’t know whether it is clean or bug ridden!!!!!

    What's up Keyin,

If you still are then drop by Me and Keith both tried it and can vouch for them. No worries, nothing is expected from you except an open mind.

    see ya,

Well, the randomised content is kind of fun, in the same way that reading Ulysses by James Joyce is kind of interesting. Still, it’s a neat trick and I take my hat off to the so-and-so’s!

I've also seen the kind that mail merged in random content from some ebook novel. I'm assuming with each email having unique content, host filters are fooled into thinking a significant portion of the email is unique enough that it can't be spam.

I often wonder what the success rate is on all these unethical tactics.

The past week has been hell on my spam filter. Its like Spam Assassin wasn't turned on. The spammers have come up with something new that is bypassing most filters. ARGH! I've seen this message and many more. Add to blacklist, add to blacklist, add to blacklist......sure wish they could find the source of this crap and lock them up.

Oh well. the Delete button is my friend.
