Am launching a new brand of clothing named "Spirit". The audience is 13 to 33 years old.
The idea behind the name is to show vigour, determination, courage & passion (BUT NOT A DEAD SOUL). Spirit also means "state of mind", "courage", "vigour". Visually the adverts of "Spirit" would convey those key words as message. Maybe i'll show a guy wearing the "Spirit" branded clothes jumping over a wall or hanging down a rope single-handed, etc....doing something extreme.
But my biggest query is the tagline. Here's a list of them.
1. Complement your character
2. Look inside yourself
3. State of mine
4. Come to life
5. Experience the burning sensation
6. Be born again
Personally, i like No. 4 (Come to life)
I think it fits well with the name "spirit" as i want to show vigour, courage, determination, etc... as it illustrates a person doing something lively and courageous.
But my question is ; wouldn't it be contradictory to use "spirit" and the tagline "come to life"? I fear that it is misunderstood by the audience. Maybe people might think the spirit brand was dead and is only coming back to life. I dont want the brand to be associated with any negative aspect.
Should i change the tagline? or look for a new one? or the worst of it all is; should i look for a new brand name (after finalising the logo and stationary) ?
Any new proposals for the tagline are the most welcome.
Thanks in advance.
