Manager Marketing Automation

Covidien Surgical Solutions is currently seeking a Global Marketing Automation Manager at our Boulder Colorado location, to add to our Marketing Operations Team. Marketing automation is a fast-growing area of marketing with enormous potential for career growth. The Global Marketing Automation Specialist will be responsible for the design, testing, execution, maintenance and reporting of automated online marketing campaigns for our partners in the U.S., Latin America, Canada and Australia/New Zealand Regions. This role will be a power user of marketing automation and CRM systems. This is a mid-level, full-time, salaried position.


•Support strategic operations by designing, executing and reporting on demand-generation campaigns
•Work with Strategy teams to translate marketing requirements into functional campaigns within marketing automation and CRM systems
•Work closely with operations team to define and implement new functionality and product offerings based around the marketing automation platform while adhering to marketing best practices
•Continuously analyze operational process to find and implement new efficiencies
•Manage outbound e-mail campaigns
•Experience in or working closely with Information Systems and Marketing Operations
•Provide day-to-day system maintenance and configuration of the systems, as well as act as the first line of defense for system support
•Work with technology partners to understand system functionality and roadmaps
•Provide guidance, leadership and training to obtain adoption with regional partners
•Routinely audit user practices to ensure compliance
•Travel of 30-50% will be required
•Continuously drive innovation of the Covidien marketing program efforts

•3 years experience with any of the following (or similar) applications: Eloqua, Marketo, Aprimo, Manticore,, MS CRM On-Demand, Siebel CRM On-Demand
•6-10 years related marketing experience
•Bachelors degree or equivalent in Marketing, MIS or Business Administration
•Proven experience interfacing with high-level marketing and sales executives
•Must have a good understanding of the web and web technology (HTML, basic CSS) and the ability and desire to expand current technical skillset
•Previous experience in or working closely with Information Systems and/or marketing groups
•Good understanding of relational data structure and basic SQL knowledge preferred
•Experience establishing and maintaining system documentation and training materials
•Interpersonal skills: exceptional verbal/written communication, listening, coaching and presentation skills with attention to detail
•Proven track record of obtaining results without direct report authority
•Highly self-motivated contributor who works well as an individual and within a team environment
•Excellent organizational skills; capacity to manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously and communicate with all levels of management
•Strong business, marketing and information systems acumen
