The Customer Market Strategist will assist with developing strategic recommendations that effectively engage and activate target customer market(s). Provide research-based customer points of view and marketing guidance to the business to help drive the execution of customer marketing initiatives within the assigned target market(s). Promotes customer insights and is an active contributor to the understanding and mapping of those target customer markets. Assists in influencing leaders and decisions makers at all levels to gain strategic commitment for sustainable target market experiences and resulting growth opportunities for Principal.
Additional responsibilities may include:
•Assist with developing innovative engagement strategies to drive customer demand for our products/offerings. Partner with team members to develop and execute on customer marketing initiatives helping Principal grow brand preference among target audiences.
•Cultivate a deep understanding and application of customer research, marketing trends, market dynamics and regulations to help influence others and make strategic choices around priority markets, customer engagement channels, communication platforms, new product development and target audiences.
•Track, analyze and communicate results. Use results analysis to improve future outcomes.
•Perform other duties and functions as required.
•Bachelor's degree in Marketing or equivalent of 8 years’ experience required.
•4+ years’ work related experience required including customer segmentation/activation and target market development experience.
•Customer Experience (CS) is preferred.
Successful candidates will have the following:
•Company product knowledge and relevant experience within the insurance and financial services industry is highly preferred.
•Must inspire trust and respect in others, be action oriented, results and market driven.
•Must have strong work ethic, be a strategic and analytical thinker and have the ability to influence people.
•Excellent organizational, problem-solving, presentation, oral and written communication skills are required. Some travel required, including overnight stays.
Will consider at the Customer Market Strategist or Sr. Customer Market Strategist level based on experience.
