I've been getting sunflowers to adorn my kitchen island this month. To famed-sunflower painter Vincent van Gogh, sunflowers held symbolism for gratitude. I think he was onto something because they sure do brighten a room, and I find myself getting lost in the little joys of seeing them in full bloom.
