My one promise to myself this week is to remember the sense of calm and relaxation I cultivated over my mini-vacay to the woods. It's easy to get overwhelmed by daily tasks far too quickly after time off, from work to-dos to dinner plans. So I promised to remember the sound of the wind in the trees, the joy of a sweet hummingbird flying right up to me, the sight of fancy hooded mergansers on the lake, and every other wondrous moment.
